Rapid Flow Injection Analysis by Partial Least Squares Regression–Validation by a Spectrophotometric Determination of Iron with 1,10-Phenanthroline–

We applied a partial least squares regression (PLS) to overlapped peaks develop rapid flow injection analysis by the PLS method (RFP method) that quantifies analytes of interest both accurately and rapidly. Spectrophotometric determination Fe2+ with 1,10-phenanthroline was used as an evaluation model RFP method. Two standard samples (S1 S2) were sequentially injected at 30-sec interval, obtained. A calibration curve constructed applying peaks. The slopes for S1 S2 almost unity good linearity. concentrations in surface water determined measured agreement values calculated absolute non-overlapped (ACC method). sample throughput about 1.7-times faster than ACC concluded achieves accurate quantification.
